July 13 - Update on Contra Costa County Parish Guidelines

Contra Costa County has issued a new social distancing order
 ( www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/health-orders) prohibiting “Indoor religious services and cultural ceremonies.” Outdoor religious services and cultural ceremonies may be continued in accordance with applicable county and state guidance.
 
Contra Costa parishes should celebrate Masses and other liturgical events (including the celebration of other sacraments) outdoors on church property until further notice. If that is not possible due to logistical issues, parishes are asked to livestream Masses without a congregation. Holy Communion may also be distributed outdoors, following diocesan guidelines.
 
Guidelines on the celebration of confirmation have been provided to pastors. Please contact your pastor or parish office for details on your parish’s decisions regarding the sacrament of confirmation.
