Please take action today on SB 245

On Monday, February 14, the Assembly voted to approve technical amendments to SB 245, which would force taxpayers to cover co-pays and deductibles for abortions in California. We expect a vote on the Assembly floor either Friday or Tuesday.

Please take action today! Urge your Assemblymember to oppose SB 245. 

This bill expands the prospects for more abortions in our state, particularly among low-income women. California already funds abortions and contraceptives through taxpayer money, making it incredibly easy for a mother to find abortion access, while prenatal care and post-natal services continue to have significant co-pays and deductible costs. Women need greater access to life-affirming services, not more assistance to have an abortion.
