The Hope, Heal, Renew Catholic Virtual Conference (primarily for catechists and school teachers of religion, but appropriate for all in ministry) was introduced in 2020 by eight (Arch) Dioceses in Region XI to connect us in faith during a time of pandemic isolation. Today, our collaboration has expanded to include twelve (Arch) Dioceses in California, Nevada, Hawaii and Idaho!
This year’s theme: Gratefully Rejoicing as the Body of Christ can be understood as emblematic of Christian discipleship: that the Risen Christ accompanies us, teaches us, nourishes us by His Real Presence in the Eucharist, and sends us – gratefully rejoicing – to be life for the world as He is for us.
Whether participating as an individual, household, or watch party, you will find a welcoming community of faith as we explore this theme through experiences of prayer, liturgy, and spiritual retreat; lively and interactive presentations; conversation and laughter during “meet ups” with fellow participants, conference planners and exhibitors; and so much more.
As done in the previous years, to thank those who have participated, all paid registrants will enjoy free, online access to recordings of live and bonus pre-recorded sessions through December 31, 2022. May this gift inspire you to continue to “gratefully rejoice” throughout the Advent and Christmas seasons and beyond!
We are looking forward to November 3-5, 2022 and for you to be a part of this wonderful collaboration. All are welcome from all Dioceses and beyond. Invite a friend or two to register. Registration will be opening in the Fall. For more information contact Gena McGowan, Coordinator for Catechetical Formation at gmcgowan@oakdiocese.org.
The “Hope, Heal, Renew Catholic Virtual Conference” is a collaboration of the (Arch) Dioceses of Boise, Fresno, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Monterey, Oakland, Reno, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Jose, Stockton.
