Father Brandon Macadaeg elected President of the Board for the Catholic Cathedral Corporation

Father Brandon Macadaeg, rector of the Cathedral of Christ the Light, was unanimously elected on Feb. 18 as president of the board for the Catholic Cathedral Corporation of the East Bay. The Cathedral Corporation is a separate legal entity, responsible for the physical facilities of the Cathedral campus, including the Cathedral church, the Mausoleum, the bishop’s residence, the Chancery, event center, plaza and parking garage. The president of the board serves as the general manager of the Corporation, and is responsible for the supervision, direction and control of the business, activities, affairs and officers of the Corporation.

Father Macadaeg will continue as rector of the Cathedral parish. Ordained in 2013, his previous assignments have been at Holy Spirit, Fremont (2013-2017), and founding pastor of Divine Mercy Parish, Oakland (2017-2019).
