The following information is from Alameda County Complete Count Committee for the 2020 Census:
CENSUS TAKERS ARE OUT IN THE FIELD The US Census Bureau has hired thousands of people from local communities to go door-to-door to assist households who have not yet responded. These individuals are managed and deployed by the US Census Bureau (not by Alameda County). We have been informed these enumerators speak many languages. Every Census taker takes a life long oath of confidentiality and can be fined or imprisoned for sharing anyone’s personal Census information.
REMEMBER:People can still self respondonline, by
phone, or by mailing in their paper form if they prefer these options rather than speaking with an enumerator.
The last day for everyone to be counted is
Wednesday, September 30.
