Supporting our Seminarians in 2021 with Annual Seminarians Appeal

A note from Fr. Carl Arcosa, Director of Voations and Seminarians, about the 2021 Second Collection for Seminarians:
Every year our Diocese takes up a second collection for our financial support to our seminarians. I know this year is a challenging year for all of us financially but I humbly appeal to all of you to give your best effort to support our seminarians in their training and formation in your own unique and creative way. Most of all with our Bishop, I would like to request that you keep our seminarians in your prayers. Prayer especially during Holy Mass is the one of the most effective ways in campaigning and promoting vocations in our Church.
With God’s providence, if there are parishioners or families whom you know and who are willing to donate and give this year, please share to them this simple video we made for you. Please post or share this video in your website and in the social media. Spread the word, the message of our seminarians and their words of gratitude to you all.
Finally, include this month of January one of these suggested mass intentions:- For an upbuilding of all vocations in the Church and in a particular way for priestly vocations to the Diocese of Oakland from our parish.
- For a strengthening of all vocations, that we may all strive to follow God's call to holiness.
- For an increase in vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life, that more young men and women will have the courage to follow a call from God to serve in the Church.
- For our young men and women whom God is calling to serve as Priests and Religious, that they may have the grace of God to hear the call and the support of their family and friends to answer.
