In our effort to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, we adhere to canon law and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops' requirement for a Letter of Good Standing from all clergy (priests and deacons) who wish to minister in the Diocese of Oakland. A Letter of Good Standing following the USCCB guidelines is required for all clergy who wish to minister in the Diocese of Oakland. The below templates are for bishops/chancellors/vicars general/provincials who issue these letters. Note that the forms filled out by priests without the appropriate signatures and seals will not be accepted.
