World Day of the Sick: Do you know of a neighbor, friend, or loved one who could use prayers for healing and hope?

All who are sick or ill, as well as family members, caregivers and healthcare providers, are invited to to observe this day together. Please join us on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in this special opportunity to pray for healing and hope in this fragile population. This World Day of the Sick in Oakland will include:

Mass
Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
Blessing of caregivers and healthcare providers
Distribution of holy water from Lourdes, France

The World Day of the Sick was initiated by Pope Saint John Paul II and held annually worldwide near the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
