St. Elizabeth, Oakland, Mass for pastoral transfer

Join the community in celebrating a new era at St. Elizabeth Parish in Oakland on July 30. The English Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 am and the Spanish Mass at 11:15 am. These Masses will highlight the transfer of pastoral care from the  Franciscan priests and brothers, after 132 years of faithful service, to the priests of the Diocese of Oakland on July 31, 2023. 

Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ, has appointed Father Ismael Guttierez as pastor of St. Elizabeth Parish, effective Aug. 1, 2023.

Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ, has appointed Father Enrique Ballesteros, current temporary parochial administrator of St. Louis Bertrand Oakland, as parochial vicar of St. Elizabeth, effective Aug. 1, 2023.
