Join us for Founder's Weekend! June 10th opens the three day Fesitval commemorating the 225th anniversary of the founding of Mission San Jose.
On Friday evening, local Franciscan friars will sing solemn vespers in the Mission Church as they did 225 years ago, and Saturday morning preayres will be sung by the religious sisters of the Hoy Family and Dominican orders. Saturday evening features a high Mass celebrated by Bishop Michael Barer, S.J.
The weekend commemoration concludes on Sunday afternoon with a special concert in the Mission Church by the San Francisco Bay Area Chamber Choir presenting 500 years of sacred songs in the a cappella Motet tradition.
The outdoor festival goes from 10:00 am.. to 5:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
