Via Zoom - https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81284101333?pwd=NWdwR054Rk82WG4vY0xxekcxL0gzdz09 The St. Joan of Arc Parish Peacemakers invites all members of our church and community to participate in a special 9-day novena on nuclear disarmament. Inspired by the Archdioceses of Santa Fe and Seattle’s Pilgrimage of Peace, the novena is an opportunity for everyone to come together in prayer and reflection as we advocate for a world free from the threat of nuclear weapons.
According to the Archdioceses of Santa Fe and Seattle:
The mission of the Pilgrimage of Peace is to establish an ecclesial and personal relationship with the bishops of Japan to work toward the abolition of nuclear weapons, expressing our heartfelt sorrow for the devastating experiences endured by their nation. Furthermore, through open dialogue, shared prayers, and a commitment to unity, we strive to build a sisterhood of dioceses, working together to ensure such human suffering is never inflicted upon humanity again. With the Holy Spirit as our guiding light, and under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of Nagasaki, we embark on this mission, standing with the bishops of Japan to create a legacy of peace for current and future generations.
Each day of the novena will focus on a specific aspect of nuclear disarmament. Through prayers, reflections, and dialogue, we will deepen our awareness and understanding of the importance of peace and nuclear disarmament.
We encourage you to set aside 15 to 60 minutes each day to participate in this novena either individually or as a family. You can access the novena through the Zoom link provided above.
