All are cordially invited to join us for the virtual Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Grant Awards Celebration which will be held Saturday, January 30th, 2021, 4:00 – 5:00 pm, online via Zoom. As in years past we will be honoring many St. Vincent de Paul conferences and other community-based nonprofits from Alameda and Contra Costa Counties for their work to alleviate hunger and food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant funds for the 31 grantees come from donations made this past Lent by parishioners and students around our diocese who participated in the Rice Bowl program.
CRS Rice Bowl Grant Awards Virtual Celebration
At the gathering, we will also be recognizing Olivia Mejia and Maria Valesquez, volunteers from St. David's Pantry. They will be receiving Outstanding Service Awards for their many years of dedicated service to those in need in the Richmond Triangle area.
Additionally, there will be an inspirational video presentation from Caroline Brennan, Catholic Relief Services Emergency Communications Director, in which she shares the CRS response to COVID-19 around the globe.
