Blue Christmas 7 p.m. Dec. 21 Blue Christmas was introduced to the Cathedral a few years ago by John Renke, director of the Office of Worship. It is a prayer service that takes place on the Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year. This service of reflection, prayer and sacred music. We recognize that not everyone feels joyful at the Christmas/holiday season. We seek to express to those who are lonely, anxious or sad, that the Light still shines for them and to remind them that they are not alone. The sacred music will be featured by the Cathedral Schola. Father Brandon Macadaeg will preside.
