CYO Cross Country

Three $1000 scholarships will be awarded to three 8th grade CYO players by the CYO Scholarship Committee.  Deadline to apply is Monday, May 18.

The five-week CYO Cross Country Season each year begins with practices starting mid-August and then with five meets on Friday afternoons on the last two Fridays in September and first three Fridays in October.

CYO Cross Country features teams from parishes and Catholic schools from around Oakland Diocese. CYO  Cross Country is an exciting sport combining team scoring and indiviual marks,  with runner from Kindergarteners through 8th graders. Over 800 runners participate on parish or school teams each season.

• Practice begins: Thursday, August 15, 2019
• Parish/School Coordinators' Meeting: Tuesday, August 2
• Coaches Certification Workshops: Thursday, September 5 and Tuesday, September 10
• Meet Dates: Fridays, Sept. 20, 27; October 4, 11
• Diocesan Meet: Friday, October 18

While it seems nice to brng your dog to a Cross Country meet, the dogs  become nervous and can create a hazard for children and the dog. We welcome Service Animals, but ask that other dogs are left at home!
