Celebration of Scouting

The annual "Celebration of Scouting" is a prayer service honoring all scouts and their leaders in the Oakland Diocese. Religious awards earned during the year are presented at the Celebration. Scout groups are invited to process into the Cathedral with their banner or flag.

Plan to attend our next Celebration of Scouting in 2017 at the Cathedral of Christ the Light!

 The 2025 Diocese of Oakland “Celebration of Scouting!"

The 2025 Celebration of Scouting is planned for Spring 2025 wth the date to be anno0unced.

The Celebration features a special prayer service honoring all scouts and their adult leaders, along with the presentation of religious awards.

All Scouts attending are invited to process into the Cathedral along with their unit flag or banner!

In addition to the prayer service, those who have completed religious awards will be presented their emblems by Father Jayson Landeza, diocesan Scout Chaplain. Families of the Scouts are invited and encouraged to attend.

We look forward to seeing you and your scouts at the Cathedral for the "Celebration of Scouting!"
