St. Gerard Women’s Club Celebrates 75 Years

For 75 years, the St. Gerard Women’s Club (SGWC) of St. John Parish in San Lorenzo has dedicated itself to faith, community, and charitable service. Founded in 1950 at the request of Father Patrick Dermody, SGWC played a vital role in establishing a parochial school, supporting the religious sisters who served the parish, and strengthening faith-based education.

On Jan. 25, 2025, Father Sergio Lopez, pastor, and Father Thi Van Hoang celebrated Mass with members and parishioners, which was followed by an officer installation ceremony and a reception, where attendees reflected on the club’s history and renewed their commitment to service.
