St. Benedict Church Hosts Ceasefire Walk Against Gun Violence
Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ, along with Fr. Jayson Landeza and Fans of St. Benedict Church, Oakland, participated in an ecumenical Operation Ceasefire Walk Against Gun Violence on Friday, October 23, 2020. Joined by Mayor Libby Schaff and faith and community leaders, the group walked as part of a grassroots community effort to stop violence. The October 23, 2020 walk was based at St. Benedict Parish in East Oakland. As an ecumenical effort, the walks originate at different locations.
The Operation Ceasefire Walks Against Gun Violence have many loyal participants, including Sister Amora Binnom, SMSM, a Marist Missionary Sister.
