Bishop Michael Barber has issued the following statement in response to the massacre at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on Oct. 27, 2018:
"The loss of life at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh is tragic and strikes at the heart of our society. All places of worship, whether a synagogue, mosque, temple or church, should be safe from violence. I pray for those who were killed and wounded, the members of Tree of Life synagogue, the first responders and the people of Pittsburgh who are immediately affected by this horrific act. I also pray for our country, that we consider ways we can address the causes of violence and allow all people of good will to live in peace."
