CYO Girls' Volleyball Teams Show Spirit and Sportsmanship at the Annual Jim Negri Tournament

Sixteen Oakland Diocese CYO Volleyball teams in the 7th and 8th grades played in the annual "Jim Negri Volleyball Tournament" in January at Moreau Catholic High School, Hayward

The day began with a special Mass followed by exciting volleyball play with lots of cheering and excitement.

Following play, the prestigious "RC Camp Sportsmanship Awards" were presented to a team displaying the best sportsmanship and most spriit in each grade division, and as voted by the referees.  The awards went to: St. Edward, Newark, and St. Joseph, Pinole, in an th grade (tie), and to All Saints, Hayward, in the 7th grade.  All teams displayed outstanding sportsmanhip and high spirts throughout.
