On August 4, massive explosions rocked Beirut, injuring more than 5,000 and killing at least 200. Buildings and homes were devastated near the blast site and it caused extensive damage over much of the city, leaving up to 300,000 people displaced.Lebanon is already suffering from an economic crisis, while hosting more than a million Syrian refugees and battling the COVID-19 pandemic.Along with Caritas Lebanon, Catholic Relief Services is clearing rubble, and providing hot meals, safe shelter, medication, hygiene kits, clean water as well as psychosocial support.
