In his pastoral letter dated June 29, the Solemnity of St. Peter and Paul, Bishop Barber writes, “When people ask, ‘Why should we go to Mass?’ I answer, ‘Because Jesus is waiting for you there in the Church, and He wants to be with you -- right there -- in the Holy Eucharist.’ It is about a personal encounter with Jesus that we have as individuals AND as a community, in the celebration of the Mass.”
