2022 Rite of Election Registration Is Open - Deadline Extended! - Diocese of Oakland CA

Registrations for this year’s Rite of Election are open, with a newly extended deadline of March 15.

Participants are strongly encouraged to sign up for the Saturday sessions at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Please limit participation to candidates and godparents/sponsors and a maximum of two guests per participant, in addition to your parish team.

Limiting participation to Saturday ensures there is no conflict with the First Scrutiny that can then be celebrated either at the Saturday Vigil or Sunday, in the parish. If a Sunday, March 20, 4 p.m. celebration is necessary, the prayer for the First Scrutiny will be included in the ceremony.

All celebrations will be bilingual.
