Youth and Young Adults
The Diocese of Oakland supports the faith journey of its young Catholics. Parish youth ministry efforts are strengthened by a comprehensive Diocesan youth ministry program of catechesis, resources and events.
Through the vehicle of sports the Diocese Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) provides young people with an opportunity to practice Christian attitudes and responsibilities on the playing fields. The Diocese also offers a variety of religious experiences to young people in scouting.
And the Diocese runs a beautiful Youth Retreat Center, offering a variety of retreat and camping options as a complement to its teaching and service mission.
