Dear RCIA Coordinator,
Due to a previously planned engagement that preceded his appointed as Apostolic Administrator, Archbishop Alexander Brunett will be unavailable to preside at the Rites of Election that were scheduled for the Sunday, February 17th. Unfortunately, we are unable to rectify this situation. However, having a great desire to be present at the Rites of Election to personally greet all candidates and catechumens, Archbishop Brunett has decided to change the date and times of the Rite of Election for the Diocese of Oakland.
The new date and times for the Rite of Election are Saturday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
I am very sorry for the great inconvenience that this change will cause for many of you. If you have already registered, you will need to re-register for the Rite of Election once again. Attached you will find the registration form that is to be completed by all who plan to participate. Registrations will only be accepted by fax, US mail or through an on-line registration form at http://oakdiocese.org/election. This form is now due by February 4, 2013. Information regarding the Rite of Election will be mailed to you after you register.
